The Walter J. Gallo ’58 Award is proudly presented to Keith Morse, one of Saint Anselm College’s longest-serving and most dedicated employees. For over 40 years, Keith has been an integral part of the Saint Anselm community, contributing to the College’s success with quiet dedication and exceptional craftsmanship. From the first postcards sent to prospective students to the diplomas proudly displayed by graduates, Keith’s work has touched every Anselmian.
A master of machinery, Keith has seamlessly blended tradition and innovation in his work at the campus print shop, operating machines that have been around longer than he has, alongside mastering the latest technology. His print shop has become a beloved space on campus, no matter where it is located, filled with both the hum of machines and the warmth of his kindness. Known for his genuine interest in others, Keith’s presence has brought smiles and comfort to staff, faculty, and their families, always asking about their lives and loved ones, even during his own challenging times.

As Keith prepares to retire in May 2025, his legacy at Saint Anselm College will remain woven into the fabric of the institution. His tireless work, kindness, and joyful spirit truly embody the values of Saint Anselm, making him the perfect recipient of the Walter J. Gallo ’58 Award. We are deeply grateful for his contributions and are honored to celebrate his lasting impact on the Saint Anselm community.
It is especially poignant today as we honor Walter’s daughter Helen with the Joseph P. Collins Award of Merit we are also able to honor Keith with an award that bear’s Walter’s name. Today we celebrate the legacies of three great Anselmians: Walter, Helen, and Keith. Keith embodies those characteristics of loyalty, kindness, friendship, and devotion so evident in the lives of Walter and Helen and which lives on in the kindness and humility of Keith Morse.
