How it works

The Book of the Month is not a formalized book club. Rather, it is a way for us to share titles of interest from our faculty and staff to you, our alumni, families, and friends.

Each month, there will be a book featured in Anselmian Connections with a brief synopsis, a link for more infromation, and the name of the recommender. If you miss the email, never fear! The same information will be posted on this page.

September's Title - Ways of Beingby James Bridle

The Book of the Month for September is Ways of Being by James Bridle. Drawing on a wide variety of disciplines, Bridle explores different kinds of intelligence—plant, animal, human, and artificial—and how they shape our understanding of humanity's place in the cosmos. This month's title was recommended by Marc Rugani, Associate Professor of Theology & Director of the Center for Ethics. Learn more
