Book of the Month Program
How it works

The Book of the Month is not a formalized book club. Rather, it is a way for us to share titles of interest from our faculty and staff to you, our alumni, families, and friends.

Each month, there will be a book featured in Anselmian Connections with a brief synopsis, a link for more infromation, and the name of the recommender. If you miss the email, never fear! The same information will be posted on this page.

February's TitleThe Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters

Our February feature is The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters. Winner of the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, The Berry Pickers tells the story of a young Mi'kmaq girl who goes missing from the blueberry fields of Maine in 1962 and the lasting effect her disappearance has on her family.

This book comes recommended to us by both Professor Mary Kate Donais of the Chemistry Department and Melinda Malik, Assistant Director and Head of Reference & Instructional Services in Geisel Library.
