Book of the Month Program
How it works

The Book of the Month is not a formalized book club. Rather, it is a way for us to share titles of interest from our faculty and staff to you, our alumni, families, and friends.

Each month, there will be a book featured in Anselmian Connections with a brief synopsis, a link for more infromation, and the name of the recommender. If you miss the email, never fear! The same information will be posted on this page.

June's TitleThe Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett

Our June feature is The Maltesse Falcon by Dashiell Hammett.  Detective Sam Spade and his partner Miles Archer work to find Floyd Thursby, a man who eloped with a client's sister. But when both Archer and Thursby are murdered, Sam Spade is the only one who can uncover the truth about the crimes–and how the Maltese Falcon ties everything together.

This book was recommended by Alicen Hogan, Circulation Associate in the Geisel Library.
