It is with great honor that the Saint Anselm Alumni Association presents the John A. Houghton '49 Alumni Council Award to Karen J. Clark, Class of 2010.

Karen has shown exemplary leadership as President of the Alumni Council over the past four years. Her unwavering dedication has been pivotal in guiding the Alumni Council through some of its most challenging times, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has not only maintained the Council's activities but has brought it to new heights, ensuring its continuity and impact on the broader alumni network. Under Karen’s watchful eye, the Alumni Council has been reinvigorated and grown and is ready to make an even greater impact on the alumni community. From guiding By-law revisions of the Alumni Council to marking the course for the Christopher Cabana’89 Fun Run at Reunion, Karen has demonstrated the qualities of mind and heart that set her apart as a leader, mentor and friend.

Karen’s strategic vision, adaptability, and tireless efforts have strengthened alumni engagement and fostered a stronger sense of community. Her dedication to the Saint Anselm spirit has continued long after her time as a student serving as a mentor and resource person for both the alumni and current students at Saint Anselm College.

Professionally, Karen is a Senior Consultant and Business Intelligence Practice Lead at Arkatechture, a role she assumed after an impressive tenure at Allegro MicroSystems. Her success in the field of business intelligence is a testament to her leadership, analytical prowess, and ability to drive meaningful outcomes in data management.

Karen’s commitment to personal growth is reflected not only in her professional achievements but also in her passion for marathon running and weight training where she continually pushes the boundaries of perseverance and discipline.
