The Saint Anselm College Nursing and Health Sciences Award is proudly presented to Louise Giguere Morgan, Class of 1975, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to nursing education, cardiovascular care, and global healthcare quality improvement.

Louise began her journey at Saint Anselm College, where she built the foundation for a remarkable career in nursing. She further advanced her expertise by earning a Master's degree in Nursing Education from Villanova University. Throughout her career, Louise has made an indelible impact on the healthcare community, particularly through her work with the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.  

For more than two decades, Louise has championed quality improvement in cardiovascular care, with the last 11 years spent as Director of International Quality Improvement at the American Heart Association. In this role, her leadership has transcended borders, bringing best practices in cardiovascular care to 30 countries across four continents through her dedication to the implementation science and global certification programs, she has empowered healthcare professionals worldwide to deliver guideline-based care, improving patient outcomes and raising the standard of care globally.

Louise’s career is marked not only by her professional excellence but also her deep commitment to community service. Her leadership and advocacy extend beyond her professional work, as she actively participates in health education and awareness initiatives, embodying the spirit of service that defines Saint Anselm College.

With her vast influence in the field of cardiovascular care and her dedication to improving global healthcare, Louise Giguere Morgan is a role model for health professionals and future generations alike.
