The Saint Anselm College Parents Leadership and Service Award is proudly presented to Liz and Kevin Powers in recognition of their lifelong embodiment of the values of stewardship, humility, and hospitality, which define the Saint Anselm College community.

Kevin and Liz, a postal carrier and a Catholic school custodian respectively, have not only sent their three children— Kevin, Class of 2008, Katie Class of 2009 and Christopher Class of 2012 —through Saint Anselm College, but have instilled in them a dedication to service and the greater good. Their children have pursued advanced degrees and meaningful careers that reflect the same values of stewardship and community that Liz and Kevin exemplify. Kevin (Jr.) is a Catholic school principal in South Bend, Indiana, while Chris works as a Director and higher education consultant, and Katie serves as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Beyond their family's achievements, Liz and Kevin have actively supported Saint Anselm through their involvement in the Alumni Association and the President’s Society. Their deep connections within the community and their commitment to Catholic education have had a lasting impact, including guiding over 15 students to Saint Anselm from local schools such as Presentation of Mary Academy and Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School.

Liz and Kevin’s unwavering support, kindhearted nature, and infectious energy have made them beloved members of the Saint Anselm community. Their dedication to fostering the values of Saint Anselm College in their family and in others truly exemplifies the Benedictine spirit, making them richly deserving of this award.
